휴가와 휴일은 근로자가 쉬는 날이라는 점에서 공통점을 갖습니다. 그러나 휴일이 처음부터 근로 의무가 없는 날인 반면, 휴가는 근로 의무가 있는 날이지만 근로자의 청구나 특별한 사유의 충족으로 인해 이를 면제 받은 날이라는 점에서 차이가 있습니다.
Employees are allowed to take time off for both holidays and vacations. Employees are granted time-off for holidays; on the other hand, for vacations, eligible employees are exempted from work on the days that are required to work upon request and/or for legitimate reasons.
วันลากับวันหยุด คือ วันที่ผู้ใช้แรงงานไม่ต้องทำงานเหมือนกัน แต่แตกต่างกันคือวันหยุดเป็นวันที่ไม่ต้องทำงานอยู่แล้ว ส่วนวันลาเป็นวันที่ต้องทำงานแต่พนักงานร้องขอลาหยุดหรือมีเหตุผลที่จำเป็นอื่น ๆ จึงได้รับยกเว้นไม่ต้องทำงานได
